Delivery times may vary, especially during peak periods. Bella the dog was thankfully a real animal, and she did a fine job carrying the story on her canine shoulders. Bryce Dallas Howard narrated Bella’s thoughts, and was pleasing enough in an earnest way.

Dog lovers are just as loyal as dogs themselves, so this movie is a blatant attempt at squeezing more money and tears out of dog lovers. The film continues Bailey's journey, thrugh time and several reincarnations as he continues to look after the people who mean the most to him. Beautifully made and written in places, the film shows mans best friend as he looks out for his human owners, through good times and bad. It is, in places, both highly emotional (showing a depth to Dennis Quaids acting I hadn't really noticed before) and also extremely amusing.
Bruce Cameron, are intended as the first two parts in a “shared universe” dog trilogy. This is slated to culminate in A Dog’s Journeylater this year. Bailey the dog goes through multiple lives trying to find his true purpose in A Dog's Journey.
Is the dog in a dog’s purpose a boy or girl?
Yes, the acting could not beat the first movie, but it is still well-made and efficiently heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. Have you read the book, “A Dog’s Purpose”? It’s a story about a dog who finds meaning in his own existence through the lives of the humans he teaches to laugh and love. It’s a fictional story, but I believe dogs really do come to this planet with a purpose. This movie was harder for me to watch than A Dog’s Purposebecause my own family’s dog of 15 years recently died.
Bella changes Lucas’s life, and the lives of the war veterans at the hospital he works at. But when she is picked up by Animal Control and they class her as a banned breed, Lucas makes a heartbreaking decision to send her away to a state where keeping a dog of her breed is not illegal. However, Lucas has underestimated the bond between them, and despite the hundreds of miles between them Bella will stop at nothing to be reunited with her human.

It was pretty interesting to see the dog going through his life. The only thing I didn't think was that good was the focusing on the people. If you are going to see this movie you will want to see the dogs not the humans. Their where a couple scenes were it made sense.

After Bella is picked up by Animal Control because pit bulls are banned in Denver, Lucas has no choice but to send her to a foster home until he can figure out what to do. Although Bailey’s life revolves around Ethan, Ethan’s life does not revolve around Bailey. It’s a cold pill for the dog to swallow—and dogs hate taking pills—when Ethan goes off to college and leaves Bailey behind. He lures Bailey into his house and appears to have the intention of doing something bad to him, although he never manages to do it. When Marshmallow, another dog in the neighborhood goes missing, we assume Todd made s’mores out of her, although it’s never confirmed.
